From the late 1980s, Davide Groppi invented and produced lamps with the eponymous brand from a very small studio in the historic center of Piacenza. 

Over the years, Groppi's creativity and independence have allowed him to develop highly original and recognizable projects that are known throughout the world. Projects in which simplicity, lightness, emotion, ingenuity and wonder are the fundamental elements. Light for Davide Groppi is a wonderful way and possibility to seduce and evoke emotion.

Davide Groppi's work has been repeatedly recognized by publications and awards. Sampei (2011), a design by Enzo Calabrese together with Davide Groppi is an icon in the lighting world and received the Edida award. But the Neuro lamp and the Nulla lamp have also received fine awards. As for Davide Groppi's most renowned designs, we can count Tetatet (2013), a portable table lamp, as an ingredient that contributes to a successful dinner party. The TeTaTet earned the ADI Compasso d'Oro Honorable Mention in 2016. The ADI Compasso d'Oro award is considered the most historic and prestigious design award in the world.
